Bass Fishing

Autumn is here and we are happy to announce that we will be hosting 8 competitions throughout the Winter starting in April and ending in November 2011. So, get your rods and reels ready and let's get fishing!

Our competition dates are as follows (see which ones suit you and let us book you soonest):

• 15 – 17 April
• 20 – 22 May
• 24 – 26 June
• 29 – 31 July
• 26 – 28 August
• 23 – 25 September
• 14 – 16 October
• 4 – 6 November (FINAL)

We have the following package deals available to suit your every need….

PACKAGE 1:

Price: R1100 for weekend per person sharing which includes the following:

• 2 nights accommodation
• Bass boat rental for Saturday and Sunday
• Dinner Friday and Saturday
• Breakfast Saturday and Sunday

PACKAGE 2:

Price: R1300 for weekend per person (own chalet, not sharing) which includes the following:

• 2 nights accommodation
• Bass boat rental for Saturday and Sunday
• Dinner Friday and Saturday
• Breakfast Saturday and Sunday

PACKAGE 3: (for non fishing wife/girlfriend – pamper package)

Price: R1500 per person which includes the following:

• 2 nights accommodation
• Back & neck massage
• Manicure
• Pedicure
• Dinner Friday and Saturday
• Breakfast Saturday and Sunday

PRIZES TO FISH FOR….

1st Position

• Discount on package for weekend (accommodation only) which will be determined by the size of your fish caught vs. the current record at Mofam 4.29kg e.g. 1.06kg bass/4.29kg and you win then 25% off your accommodation bill.
• Should you exceed our current record fish in weight, you will get another weekend free of charge
• Cash prize of R500.00
• Mofam Special Gift (1st prize)
• Invitation to the final, being held on the weekend of 4 – 6 November 2011 free of charge.

2nd Position

• Mofam Gift (2nd prize)
• Mofam Wine Gift pack

More spot Prizes will be given out during the weekends by competition officials.

Rules & Regulations

• In order to make the competition more exciting, we need a minimum of 6 fishermen to participate in each competition
• We will contact fishermen by Wednesday to confirm the number of participants
• No live bait is allowed to be used
• Fishing within the specified area only
• Normal fishing rules will be discussed on Friday night at dinner to ensure everybody knows them and adheres to them

Equipment to be supplied by Mofam River Lodge

• 5 boats will have a rear motor (36 lbs) and a
• front foot controlled motor (40 lbs)
• Fish finder
• Oar and Anchor
• Batteries
• Seats for boats are on request from the officials on the weekend at no extra cost
• Bring own rods and reels (not limited in any way)

OVERALL WINNER

• R1000 cash
• 4 day overnight stay at Margo House at Ongava Game Reserve (next to Etosha Pans) on a self-catering basis – accommodation, game viewing, game drives for 4-6 pax.
